Pentair Ethics Education Center
We believe it is important for our employees to understand how to apply our Code of Conduct in their everyday work life. For that reason, we established the Pentair Ethics Education Center (PEEC) in 2005. This online training curriculum helps our leaders offer guidance to our employees on ethical behavior and decision making. Each year, approximately 4,500 of our leaders receive training on our values and Code of Conduct, and certify that they understand the Code and agree to abide by it. The annual curriculum also includes training on other topics relating to business ethics and compliance, such as workplace harassment, laws affecting our global business, and proper use of email. Through Pentair Ethics Education Center, we are ensuring that business ethics education is a dynamic part of our Win Right culture.
Confidential Hotline
With over 15,000 employees around the world, we know it is not enough to ask employees to live Pentair's Code of Conduct. Pentair must also make available multiple channels for employees to help address or raise their voices when they have a question or concern about a situation. First, employees are encouraged to discuss these issues with their supervisors or human resources representatives. Second, employees can contact the company's legal department or the ethics and compliance program leaders. Third, employees may opt to utilize Pentair's confidential, toll-free hotline. The Pentair hotline, which is managed by an independent service not related to Pentair, is free of charge to users and confidential. It is available 24 hours a day, seven days a week and can be used by all employees, regardless of where they live or what language they speak. All hotline calls are reviewed and responded to in a timely manner.
