Point of Use (POU) Solutions

Reverse Osmosis

Often called RO, reverse osmosis systems force water under pressure into a module that contains a semi-permeable membrane. These are great for treating cooking and drinking water and are ideal additions to the rooms in the house with the highest water volume: kitchens and bathrooms. 

Reverse osmosis systems work in stages: pre-filters remove large particles and chlorine, a semi-permeable membrane filters out a wide range of contaminants, an activated carbon filter polishes the water by reducing taste, odor, and organic matter, and finally, a storage tank holds the purified drinking water.

PFOA/PFOS

PFOA and PFOS are commonly known as “forever chemicals” because they do not easily degrade. This, combined with their widespread use, means that PFAS are present virtually everywhere in the environment. They have been found in the blood of people and animals, and at low levels in a variety of food products.

According to CDC Agency for Toxic Substances and Disease Registry, scientific studies have shown that exposure to some PFAS in the environment may be linked to harmful health effects in humans and animals.

Tannin Filtration

Ideal for homes with tankless water heaters, the Pentair Hot Water Sediment Post-Filter System reduces sediment buildup that is often associated with heating elements.

This system traps sand, dirt, dust, and other debris by suspending solids as small as 5 microns that may precipitate out during the heating process of the water. This means homeowners can reduce clogged showerheads and faucets to improve water pressure.
