New UK Facility Supports a Lower Carbon Future
Karla Robertson joined the team for the grand opening and ribbon cutting ceremony.
We are excited to announce that Pentair’s UK Spray and Specialty agricultural business recently moved into a new facility in Bourn, Cambridge, UK. This facility contributes to Pentair’s Making Better Essential efforts that support a lower carbon future while helping us continue serving the UK and European markets.
As part of our Making Better Essential efforts, we have set Social Responsibility Strategic Targets to advance the positive impact of our business including reducing our carbon footprint. This facility was chosen because it supports the needs of our business and aligns with our carbon reduction goals. It was built to Net Zero Carbon standards through its low carbon and energy efficient design that is supported by onsite and offsite renewable electricity.
Joining the team for the grand opening and ribbon cutting ceremony was Karla Robertson, General Counsel, Secretary and Chief Social Responsibility Officer. “It was inspiring to meet the team and see first-hand how they are supporting Pentair’s sustainability strategy while delivering an exceptional experience for our customers,” Karla commented.
Additional sustainability features of the new building include:
- Opportunities for employees to participate in sustainability initiatives in alignment with Pentair’s goals.
- Electric car charging stations for employee use.
- Expansive green space that includes walking paths and outdoor seating.
- Office space designed for improved employee collaboration.
- A reception area designed to welcome customers by showcasing our products, the Pentair Win Right Values, and our Mission.
