At Pentair we recognize our role and responsibility in developing the future leaders of tomorrow, and to provide equitable opportunities for all individuals. In keeping with this endeavor, I am proud to share that Pentair is joining the Minnesota Lynx WNBA team as an inaugural partner of the Lynx Changemakers, a first-of-its-kind venture focused on building the next generation of female leaders and elevating women’s sports in Minnesota.

As a Lynx Changemaker, Pentair is committed to driving positive change throughout the community and working to empower and advance young girls and women across the state. This includes taking purpose-driven action with direct financial support to organizations and nonprofits supporting young girls. We are excited to support Girls Taking Action™ as the first named Lynx Changemaker Impact Partner. This inspiring organization is focused on motivating, empowering and educating girls about the importance of understanding their personal power, achieving academically, actualizing their personal leadership, creating positive social change in their local community, and developing a career plan that includes post-secondary education.

This effort builds upon our unique collaboration with the Minnesota Timberwolves and Lynx focused on advancing and empowering Black, Indigenous and People of Color (BIPOC) and other historically marginalized students from the local Minnesota college and University communities. Since we first started working together in late 2022, we have hosted four Career Development Training Camps providing students with the opportunity to hear from people who look like them and who have navigated similar career experiences. The students have shared with us how meaningful these conversations have been to them, and how they will take this wisdom with them as they enter their professional career.

Through Changemakers, we are excited to further advance this partnership and the impact we can have in helping to cultivate the next generation of female leaders. To learn more, read the press release.
