Pentair Named to Investor’s Business Daily’s 100 Most Sustainable Companies for 2024
As a purpose-driven company, at Pentair we are energized each day by the positive impact we can make in creating a better world for people and the planet through smart, sustainable water solutions. I am pleased to share that our sustainability actions and progress were recently recognized with Pentair being named to Investor’s Business Daily’s 100 Most Sustainable Companies for 2024. This recognition is meaningful as it evaluated companies for both contributing positively to the environment through business activities and strong financial performance.
Pentair’s sustainability strategy is aligned with our business strategy to help drive long-term value for our stakeholders while we reduce our impact on the environment. We believe we have a unique opportunity to positively impact our world by Making Better Essential through the collective efforts of our dedicated employees, customers, and partners. This focus on making life’s essential resources better for people and the planet guides our sustainability efforts.
We are proud of our progress against our strategic targets, which we have reported on each year in our Corporate Responsibility Report. And we are pleased with our specific achievements as reported on in the most recently published Report, which includes the following 2023 results:
- Total Scope 1 and 2 GHG emissions decreased 20.9% compared to our baseline set in 2019
- Our absolute water withdrawal decreased 22.9% compared to the 2019 baseline
- We assessed 100% of new products using our product sustainability scorecard
As we continue to advance, I believe we are focused on the right priorities to build a bright future.
